EVWW Founder and Instructor Karen Moulding has been teaching and editing writing for over 20 years. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University and her fiction and poetry have appeared in The Santa Monica Review (Spring 24), KGB Online Literary Review, The Capra Review, nerve.com, "Smut 2, a best of Nerve anthology" (Chronicle Books), and more. Her novel, The Naked Shopper, was named first runner-up in the Red Hen Press "Quill Prose Award" in 2019. She is author and updating editor of the nation's first LGBTQ legal treatise, Sexual Orientation and the Law (Thomson Reuters). In addition to EVWW, Karen has taught at the Westside YMCA Writers Voice, Gotham Writers Workshop, and Columbia University (for the late Kenneth Koch). Karen is solo mom to a lively 9 year old girl (and actor) named Fin.
Instructor Murray Moulding has taught creative writing for over 40 years at colleges in Illinois, Montana, Oregon and Colorado. A graduate of the Iowa Writer's Workshop, Murray has published eight poetry collections to date. His poetry and fiction have appeared in the Mississippi Valley Review, Kansas Quarterly, Viva, Shiny, Shampoo, and December among many other journals. He lives in Florida and Denver with his wife, Kate, and their vociferous dog, Shakira.
